ABSENTEE BALLOTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR THE MAY 18, 2021 VOTE ON THE BUDGET, PURCHASE OF BUSES AND OTHER TRANSPORTATION VEHICLES, CASSAVANT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CLASSROOM/STAIRWELL/ EXTERIOR DOOR SYSTEMS UPGRADE CAPITAL PROJECT PROPOSITION, AND ELECTION OF BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS OF DRYDEN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT

        If you are eligible to use an Absentee Ballot because of physical disability, or legitimate absence from the District (business purposes, vacation, or studies) and are a qualified voter of the District, you may obtain an absentee ballot application by contacting Carrie Merriman, District Clerk, Dryden Central School, P.O. Box 88, Dryden, NY 13053, phone number 844-5361, ext. 1.  Applications will be available between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Please note: Executive Order 202.81 modifies the Education Law to the extent necessary to include the potential for contraction of the virus that causes COVID-19 as an illness for purposes of requesting an absentee ballot application.

        Any such application must be received by the District Clerk at least seven days before the date of the aforesaid annual district meeting (May 11, 2021) if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before such annual district meeting (May 17, 2021) if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.  A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots shall have been issued shall be available for public inspection in the office of the District Clerk during regular office hours on each of the five days prior to the day of the vote (excluding Saturday and Sunday).  Absentee ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m. prevailing time, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.
