5K Run for the Pride
The annual June 5k "Run for the Pride" began in 2012 as a fundraiser to help support the co-funded Lacrosse program and has ballooned into a well-run, regionally respected event. As the lacrosse program became fully school funded, the race was passed on to the Dryden Sports Boosters to use as a vehicle to raise money to boost all Dryden athletic programs. The Cross Country program has since taken over running the event, moving it up to coincide with the beginning of their Fall season.

Homecoming
Each Fall Dryden hosts a "Homecoming" football game, inviting alumni and the community to mingle and watch our boys battle it out on the gridiron under the lights. Typically this is our biggest crowd of the season and is a great chance for people to catch up. In the past, this event has included marching bands, floats, and other activities, in addition to the pep rally during school. We hope to build this event into a "must attend" night on everyone's calendar.

Memorial Garden
A memorial garden to remember those the Dryden community has tragically lost was created to go with Dryden High School's Memorial Stadium Complex. This garden is a wonderful place to relax and remember and has also served as a fundraiser for the stadium complex itself and the athletic program through the "buy a brick" program. Community members can purchase an inscribed brick to be placed in the memorial garden walkway as a way to remember a loved one and/or to support Dryden Athletics. If you are interested in buying a brick, please contact the Athletic office.

Senior Athletic Awards Night
Each June the Athletic Department honors our Senior Athletes for their dedication, character, and athletic exploits. This classy evening features jazz and desserts, a guest alumni speaker, prize raffles, and the award presentations themselves. The Dryden Sports Boosters sponsor this event, providing funds to make our athletes know they are appreciated. Each Senior who has played a Varsity sport at any time in High School receives the "Athletic D" award, with 3 season athletes being given a special designation. Over 20 individual awards and scholarships are given to standout athletes. We also honor a coach of the year and a contributor of the year.

Senior Nights
Athletes give a lot to participate in our programs, both in time and energy. Senior nights are a tradition for each team to say "thank you" to departing seniors, typically playing in their last home game. In addition, Senior athletes parents are also recognized for the crucial role they play in helping their child succeed.

Whiteout Game
Each winter since 2009 the Varsity Basketball team has hosted a "whiteout" event where fans are encouraged to come decked out head to toe in white and to get rowdier than normal to support the home team. Special events are planned for this evening and have included things like a mini-pep rally to honor winter athletes, performances by the cheerleading squads, halftime "hot shot" contests, live broadcasting by ESPN Ithaca, a pep band, and even a black light dance after the game. The aim of this event is to be a winter version of homecoming, bringing the students, alumni, and community together for a night of fun.
