Greetings students, parents, educators, and community members. Dryden Central School District is thrilled to introduce our brand new podcast, “The Roar Report!”
What Sets Us Apart:
“The Roar Report” is not just a podcast, it is a backstage pass to the vibrant world of our school district. From in-depth interviews with our passionate educators, to conversations with students and parents, each episode offers a unique perspective bringing stories, awareness, and discussions to life.
Behind The Scenes:
It takes a village to create something this special. We would like to introduce our key players of the podcast and how our students are getting involved:
- Superintendent Joshua Bacigalupi: Your Guide
Superintendent Joshua Bacigalupi brings a sense of charisma and authenticity to the table. As your primary guide, he will ensure every episode has a unique balance of laughter and thought provoking discussion.
- Kai Barrow: The Controls
Dryden High School student and Podcast Editor, Kai Barrow, is the mastermind behind the controls and has an eye for detail. He has been provided this paid internship opportunity thanks to the generosity of the NYS Learning Technology Grant.
- Benjamin Eckley and Elizabeth Alexander: The Educators In Action
Library Media Specialist, Benjamin Eckley, took Kai under his wing during middle school in his “Intro to Media” class, where he learned critical skills like project management, creative writing, how to interview others, sound engineering and music production. We hope to have more middle schoolers learn these hands-on skills and get inspired to study topics as well as dive into careers in multimedia, advertising, journalism, and digital technology as time progresses.
Next, our podcast’s introduction music was created by High School Band Director, Elizabeth Alexander and played by the entire Dryden High School Band. This team of talented students bring the #lionpride to your ears!
