Athletics is an integral part of a student’s education. It has an obligation/goal of developing skills that will enable our young women and men to be successful in life. Skills such as leadership, teamwork, character, poise, discipline, loyalty, mental toughness, physical conditioning, hard work and school pride are not only by-products of participation in our program but also a shared vision by our coaching staff and Board of Education.

A majority of Dryden students participate in interscholastic athletics. Dryden has traditionally boasted its share of championship teams and all-star players. However, such measures of success are the outcome, rather than the primary goal, of the athletic program.

Spectators please note that dogs are not allowed on campus, even at outdoor sporting events. Event staff are on site for events and will enforce this rule.

Section IV Character Counts Award Winners!
The Section IV Athletic Association has selected four Dryden High School students to receive its Character Counts Recognition Award. The Character Counts Award is given to recognize students who have exceptional sportsmanship and citizenship.  Character traits are valued aspects of a person's behavior.  Attributes such as Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship can dramatically improve the ethical quality of our decisions.  We are so proud to announce Siaosi Malepe, Amanda Jackson, Felipe Bicalho and Hallie Allport who were named the Section IV Character Counts award recipients for Dryden High School.  These students were awarded a certificate, Character Counts pin and t-shirt for their great character on and off the field.   Congratulations to these exceptional athletes!  #LIONPRIDE

“People of character do the right thing even if no one is looking.  People of character do the right thing even if it costs more than they want to pay.  People of character do the right thing even if no one else does, not because they think it will change the world, but because they refuse to be changed by the world”~Michael Josephson
