About Us

Welcome to the Dryden Central School District! We are located in the southern part of central New York State in Tompkins County. The District encompasses an area of 110 square miles and serves a population of about 1600 students.

Directions to District

FROM SYRACUSE/CORTLAND SYRACUSE

Travel Route 81 to Homer Exit (to Route 281 South). At the light turn LEFT onto Route 281 South. You're now in CORTLAND. Stay on this road all the way into Dryden. Route 281 will turn into Route 13 at the A&W Restaurant intersection) Coming down a hill into Dryden there will be a traffic light at the Tompkins Cortland Community College(TC3) entrance. Go straight to the next traffic light (intersection by the Dryden Queen Diner) Turn Right onto Route 38. Travel approximately a half mile. The Middle/ High School complex will be on your right.

For District Office: enter first driveway leading to auditorium & football/track complex. Follow yellow signs to parking lot and entrance.

For Middle School: enter the third driveway (2nd is to a small parking lot). Travel straight up the loop to the main entrance parking - if no spots available up front then go to the lot straight ahead. Report to the middle school main office.

For High School: enter the third driveway. Take first left, go straight along bldg. to the back of the building, turn right to high school entrance.

FROM BINGHAMTON/ALBANY Travel Route 81 to Homer Exit (Route 281 South) (Follow Directions as above).

Travel the back way through Newark Valley to Dryden (Route 38). When you arrive in the Village of Dryden, at the main intersection traffic light, go straight which will be Route 38/Route 13 combined. At the next traffic light by Dryden Queen Diner, turn left onto Route 38 Travel approximately a half-mile. (Follow Directions as above)

FROM ELMIRA/ITHACA Travel Route 13 into the Village of Dryden. At the main intersection traffic light turn left continuing on Route 13. At the next traffic light by Dryden Queen Diner turn left onto Route 38. Travel approximately a half-mile. (Follow Directions as above)
