Unity Day 2026

On Wednesday, October 21, all Dryden Central Schools celebrated Unity Day, a national initiative started by the National Bullying Prevention Center in October 2011, and the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month.

Unity Day has become a tradition at Dryden, and this year students celebrated by wearing orange on Wednesday, creating Unity Trees with handprints contributed by students, signing pledges to be kind on Unity Banners, receiving mandarin oranges and Unity Day stickers designed by our very own High School Student Council, and a special Unity Day lunch. Students also heard morning announcements focused on messages of kindness, acceptance, and respect throughout the week.

By participating in meaningful events like these, we take the time to remember that community cannot be successful without unity. Here at Dryden, we commit to treating one another with kindness, celebrating differences, and making sure every person feels seen, valued, and included. #LionPride!
