2/7/21 Update:

This message is regarding two positive cases in the Dryden Central School District. The contact tracing continues around these two cases continues, but the District does know at this time that the combined impact of the two cases does not allow us to open school for in person instruction this week at the MS/HS. We have spent a great deal of time and energy in the last 24 hours trying to make in person instruction work for all students PK-12 despite the challenges presented to us this weekend.

All PK-5 programming will continue to be held in person as scheduled in all three elementary schools. There are no changes at this time to their schedules.

6-12 students will be instructed remotely beginning on 08-FEB-2021 through the end of the day on 12-FEB-2021. Students should follow their bell schedule. If your child needs food, please call Megan Munson at 607.844.8694 x.4206. If you need support with technology, please call 607.844.8694 x.4111. If you need support with your mental health, please call us from 7AM-5PM at 607.844.5361 x.1 and we will get you support. If it is after 5PM and before 7AM, please call 211 and they can connect you to additional resources. All athletic practices will be held as scheduled as the closure revolves around staff capacity and not due to a specific positive case on any given team or wider community spread as a result of exposures in the District. If contact tracing is not complete by the beginning of practice tomorrow, practices will be canceled and notification will come through your coach.

All CTE Students should not attend in person programming at TST BOCES tomorrow, Monday, 08-FEB-2021 to ensure contact tracing is complete. All CTE students should resume attending in person programming at TST BOCES on Tuesday, 09-FEB-2021. If you need to be transported mid-day either from your home to TST BOCES or from TST BOCES to your home, please call the HS Office tomorrow to confirm transportation at 607.844.8694 and follow the voice prompts to the High School Office.

All other students participating in full day programs at TST BOCES and OCM BOCES should attend in person beginning tomorrow as long as your program is open. Students enrolled in programs at the George Junior Republic and CHOW will be notified today if they need to quarantine as a result of these two cases. If you are quarantined you should not attend in person instruction at your program.

All staff across all bargaining units, levels, and buildings should report in person to their assigned locations for their contractual day this week unless they are being quarantined as a result of these two positive cases, quarantined due to a different case, or already assigned to home.
