Engineering Graphics now qualifies for Dual Credit at TC3
2003-2004 GSSOP Visitor - Kurt Andresen and "Physics of Entertainment"
The Cornell Public Service Center's Graduate Student Outreach Project (GSSOP) was founded in 1993 with the goal of "sharing Cornell University's resources with the educational community." It has been our pleasure to have Kurt as our "guest" for 8 sessions. Students engineered their Trebuchets beyond the basic paper patterns they started with. The blue team Trebuchet self-destructed while the other team shot a small marble 26 feet.
Engineering Graphics is recommended for students who have completed CAD with a grade of 80 or better. The purpose of this course is to continue the study of the "language of the engineer" which was introduced in DDP and further developed in CAD. Students will use computer modeling, drafting skills, and creative thinking to solve design problems. The graphic solutions will be drawn as engineering drawings or sketches and models. Physical models will be built for some projects.
