Homework is given on most Monday through Thursday nights. Generally it is the Homelink to practice the skills of the day's math lesson. There are many activities you can be doing at home to improve your performance in school. Here are some ideas:
*READ, READ, READ, READ and READ!! Practice is the best way to become a good reader! You can read more than books--read magazines, newspapers, websites, notes from your parents, recipes, anything that's written!
*PRACTICE YOUR ADDITION and SUBTRACTION FACTS!! The quicker you know these facts, the better you can complete your math work!
*WRITE!! Write lists, notes to your parents, grandparents, teacher and friends, emails, stories, facts, thank you notes and diary entries.
*Practice your spelling words or old spelling lists: type your words on the computer, rainbow write them, ask someone to give you a practice test and write any you missed 5 times each.
