Physical Education Attire
Students will attend Physical Education every other day.
Fourth and fifth grade students are required to change their clothes each day for class. Proper physical education attire could include sweat pants, wind pants, or shorts, and any long or short sleeve shirt. Proper physical education attire does not include any top or bottom that is being worn to school that day.
Third grade students are only required to have sneakers for physial education class. They do not change for class,
and should take that into consideration when they decide what to wear on days which they have physical education class.
Locker Room (fourth and fifth graders only)
Students will share a locker with one or two other students.
Students are given five minutes at the beginning and end of class to change clothes and use the bathrom if
needed.
Three individual, private shower stalls are available. Students are required to have their own towel if they choose to shower. Showering is optional.
Use of the locker room is a privilege. Any inappropriate or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and will result in the suspension of locker room privileges.
A Safe, Healthy, & Positive Environment
Physical Education Class should be a safe, healthy, and positve experience. Students have a responsibility to themselves and especially their classmates to create and maintain this type of environment. Failure to do so, can and will result in disciplinary action.
Safety
No food, gum, or candy is allowed in the locker room of gymnasium. Additionally, no toys, school supplies, etc. should be brought to class.
Glass bottles are not permitted in the locker room.
Spray deodorants (Axe, Tag, etc.) are not permitted in the locker room. Stick or roll-on deodorants are recommended.
