How do People feel about Art Education?
In this section, we will highlight how the Arts have effected you. We hope to update this section often and bring you a range perspectives.

Recent letters:
“Our schools have great teachers of the arts, but they need instruments and supplies and time (if a boy or girl needs remediation instruction, guess what periods will be cannibalized from his or her schedule?). There is a literacy of that which is beautiful and enduring and inspirational, and much of those qualities are to be found in the arts. We believe that the public schools…all have a moral obligation to instruct in this literacy, as much as we do in expository writing and useful arithmetic and scientific principles and the story of our shared history. It is the arts which will enable us to give meaning and memory to those core subjects…" an excerpt from a letter sent and signed by TST BOCES area school superintendents including Dr. Archambault to the Ithaca Journal on November 5, 2002

We will update this section on a regular basis, so please visit often!

We encourage you to contact our Department Chair Person, Kathleen Hall if you have any questions.
