Welcome to the Dryden Central School District!  We are located in the southern part of central New York State in Tompkins County.  The District encompasses an area of 110 square miles and serves a population of about 1600 students.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

Beginning Sunday night, June 3, the Dryden CSD track and field area is closed to all activities due to construction work.
 

All baseball and softball fields located at the MS/HS campus will be closed beginning the morning of June 5 and are not expected to re-open until the Fall 2019 due to construction.  

Congratulations to the New Dryden Superintendent

At the Board of Education meeting on May 21, the board unanimously approved the hiring of Mr. Joshua Bacigalupi as the Superintendent of Schools effective July 1, 2018. Mr. Bacigalupi is pictured here with BOE President Margie Malepe.

 

Mr. Bacigalupi will be meeting with Mr. Locke during the next month to ensure a smooth transition.

 

Congratulations Mr. Bacigalupi, and welcome home to Dryden!

A loud lion roar to Adam Huff for being awarded the Arthur L. Berkey achievement award, and being named a runner-up Career & Tech Student of the Year at TST BOCES. Congratulations to Adam on this fantastic academic achievement.

Three Dryden sophomores spearheaded a charity event for the Make-a-Wish foundation on Friday, June 8, 2018.  A Dance-a-Thon was held featuring music, dancing, raffle donations from area merchants and a good time was had by all.  At the end of the evening (about midnight) a total of almost $1,600 was raised to help children with life-threatening illnesses.

Important Dryden Notices

Last Day of School:

 

Now that we have gotten past snow season, we would like to let everyone know about the amended 2017-2018 calendar.

 

All students in grades PK-8 will have their last student day be the end of the regular school day on Thursday, June 21, 2018.  Also, please note that there will be no 1/2 days of student attendance during the last week of instruction; the students will have a regular school day.  Grades 9-12 will follow the examination schedule as already outlined.

 

The last day for teachers will be Friday, June 22, 2018.

 

 

Construction Update:

 

Please be advised that work on our construction project will start on Monday, June 4 2018. The first section to be worked on will be the track and field portion of our campus, so that area will be off limits to everyone for the near future. We will let you know when that area may be accessed again.

Safety Reminder

Lockdowns occur when there is an awareness of a situation requiring investigation in the building.  Once the investigation is completed, the lockdown is lifted and classes resume.  The purpose of any lockdown is to assure student and staff safety.
