Dr. Seuss Night
Students pinned stars on the Sneetch during an activity at Dr. Seuss night in the Freeville Elementary School. The school held its annual book fair and Dr. Seuss celebration on Feb 3rd. Students, family members and teachers gathered to enjoy an evening celebrating reading, community building and fun activities.
Star Reading Program
Freeville Elementary School students enjoy celebrating reading at all weekly morning meetings. The Star Reading Program promotes a home-school connection and literacy. Students read books and log their reading. When students meet their reading goals they participate in a celebration. The celebration includes hearing their names called out; teachers shaking pom-poms; running through a tunnel; and receiving a star. All Star Readers are cheered for by the school body and then stars are displayed throughout the gymnasium.
