Thank you all for coming! Thank you to Michelle who coordinated dinner tonight. Sandra also noted that nice Thank you from Mrs. Ryan in the school newsletter and passed around thank you notes from the Kindergarten classes for Scholastic Books and Mrs. Weaver for help with the Spring Concert
Treasurer’s Report:
The checking account had one deposit totaling $589.00 Debits of $120 for February babysitting and change for Book Fair. Checking balance is $4,648.01. Savings balance is $1,394.68 and the playground savings in $500.15.
Michelle noted a few corrections and approvals needed for babysitting, extra performer, school supplies allocation, and added fundraiser for 3 for me. Those at the meeting asked questions during the discussion.
耀 Diana Southwick motioned the approval of $20 for babysitting, Holly Lockwood second. 9 approved, 1 abstained.
耀 Mrs. Allen motioned to spend $511 for performers, Tami Pushlar second. 9 approved, 1 abstained.
Since the checking account is healthy Sandra will check with Mrs. Ryan to see what additional items the school may need. Principal’s Report:
耀 April 16th is picture day!
耀 April 20th will be a safety talk during school meeting
耀 April 24th is the Alicia Gray Bully talk during school meeting
耀 April 26th is a cyber bully presentation at the high school library from 7-8 p.m.
耀 May 10th is Grandparents day
耀 May 31 and June 1 is Kindergarten Screening, No School for kindergarten classes. Anyone interested in helping out should contact Mrs. Allen.
耀 June 5th is the Kindergarten breakfast
耀 The school will be closed this summer as the building will have 2 capital projects happening, the roof and some mason work.
Old Business:
耀 February minutes approved, motion by Michelle Hallock, second by Diana Southwick, all in favor.
耀 Dr. Seuss Night/Book Fair- 55 kids attended; overall the event was very successful.
耀 Spring Concert –A huge thank you to Rowan for the wonderful t-shirt design. The t-shirt was entered into the Box Top contest. Keep your fingers crossed!
耀 Performers – Judy Stock reading program is coming on May 15th. The Zoo to you program has already been at the school and the kids loved it!

耀 Square 1 Art, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates Fundraisers: Square 1 will be delivered after break, Chocolate info out on April 6th.
耀 George Nettleton’s Retirement – discussion regarding a gift from the PTA. Motion by Tamie Pushlar to get gift totaling $100, second by Mrs. Allen. All Approved.
耀 School Flower beds – Kristen Goggan volunteers to head up the garden committee. Holly noted that if we have larger projects we could contact the Freeville Community Council regarding a beautification project.
耀 DYOF Grant – Sandra is going to contact reading birthday books and reading performers.
耀 3 for Me/ End of year dinner –June 15th, Pam Silliman has volunteered to coordinate and cook the dinner. We will need to provide final numbers 2 weeks before the event.
耀 Teacher Appreciation – List of items that the PTA is coordinating was discussed. As a reminder Teacher Appreciation is May 7- May 11.
耀 Yearbook- additional information will be coming out but the books will be $6.50. PTA pays for 3rd grade books.
